Cashback: what is returned, when and on what terms

Cashback returns part of what you lost during a period. It looks like the simplest offer on the menu, and that is exactly why it causes misunderstandings: the percentage is easy, but the calculation base, the period and the credit type hide in three lines of the terms. Those three lines decide whether cashback arrives as withdrawable money or as another bonus balance with wagering.

If Jonbet runs a cashback promotion, its terms define all of this. Here you will find the questions to ask the text, without any platform figures.

Net losses: the usual base

Most programmes calculate cashback on net losses: total staked minus total won during the period. Wins within the period reduce the base. Illustrative example, not a Jonbet condition: during the week you lose 600 in one session and win 200 in another. Net loss is 400; with 10% cashback, the return would be 40 — not 60. Some terms also exclude bets placed with bonus money, so only real-money losses count.

Questions for the terms

QuestionWhy it matters
What is the period?Daily, weekly or monthly changes when a loss is settled
Which games count?Excluded categories generate no cashback
Is there a minimum loss?Below it, nothing is returned
Is there a cap?Bigger losses do not raise cashback above the limit
Cash or bonus money?Bonus money brings wagering and a maximum bet
Manual claim?Unclaimed cashback may expire

Cashback with wagering

When the returned amount is credited as a bonus, it follows wagering rules. Illustrative example, not a Jonbet condition: 40 of cashback with 5x wagering requires 200 in qualifying bets before withdrawal — very different from 40 credited as real money. The wagering guide shows the maths.

Cashback is not a safety net

Cashback reduces a loss but never removes it. Betting more to «secure» cashback is the most expensive reasoning in gambling: the return is always a fraction of what goes out. Treat cashback as an occasional discount, never as part of your budget. If you notice you are adjusting play to hit a cashback minimum, revisit your limits on the responsible gambling page.

Cashback alongside other offers

Some terms do not allow cashback while a deposit bonus is active in the same period, or calculate it only after the bonus ends. If you accepted a reload bonus, check whether the cashback period is affected.

Frequently asked questions

Is cashback calculated on total stakes?
Usually not. The common base is net losses for the period — stakes minus wins.
Can cashback be withdrawn straight away?
It depends on the credit type. As real money, normal withdrawal rules apply; as bonus money, the stated wagering must be met.
Do live casino losses count?
Only if the category is included. Many promotions list excluded games or categories.
Do I need to claim cashback?
Some platforms credit it automatically, others require a claim within a deadline.
