Wagering requirements: how much you need to bet before cashing out
A wagering requirement is the total amount of bets a promotion asks for before bonus money becomes withdrawable balance. In practice it is the line of the terms that decides whether an offer is worth taking — far more than the percentage on the banner. This guide shows how to read that line at Jonbet, which amount it applies to and how to turn it into simple arithmetic before you accept anything.
We do not publish the wagering of any Jonbet offer: terms vary from promo to promo, and only what is published in the terms and cashier at opt-in applies. The numbers below are for practising the logic.
Three questions every wagering rule answers
- What is the multiplier? The number next to the «x», for example «20x».
- What base does it apply to? The bonus only, or deposit plus bonus. This one word often doubles the task.
- Which bets count and by how much? Each game category can count 100%, a fraction or nothing.
If the terms leave any of the three unclear, ask support in writing and keep the answer.
Step-by-step maths
Illustrative example, not a Jonbet condition: deposit 100, bonus 100, wagering 20x.
| Base | Calculation | Bets required |
|---|---|---|
| Bonus only | 100 × 20 | 2,000 |
| Deposit + bonus | (100 + 100) × 20 | 4,000 |
The same «20x» can mean 2,000 or 4,000 in bets depending on one phrase. Find the base before you look at the multiplier.
When game contribution enters the sum
Wagering is counted in qualifying bets. If a game contributes 10%, every 10 staked there adds only 1 to the requirement.
| Game type (example) | Contribution (example) | Real bets to clear 2,000 |
|---|---|---|
| Slots | 100% | 2,000 |
| Table games | 10% | 20,000 |
| Excluded games | 0% | never clears |
Illustrative example, not a Jonbet condition. The real table for each offer is in its terms; see game contribution.
Wagering is not a fixed cost
Betting 2,000 does not mean losing 2,000 — the same balance turns over several times. What costs you is the house edge built into each game: the bigger the required volume, the bigger the expected loss along the way. Multiply the volume by a typical edge for the games you plan to play and compare it with the bonus amount. If the expected loss approaches the bonus itself, the offer mainly extends playing time rather than adding value.
The details that break the calculation
- Maximum bet with an active bonus. One bet above the limit can void the bonus and related winnings.
- Deadline. Wagering usually has a validity in days; whatever is left expires.
- Balance order. Some platforms use real money first, others bonus money first, which changes what happens if you withdraw mid-way — see withdrawing with an active bonus.
- Withdrawal cap. Free-spin and no-deposit offers sometimes cap cashable winnings.
Tracking progress
Before playing, write down three numbers: required volume, final date and maximum bet. During the session, use the wagering counter in your profile if one is shown and check it moves as expected. If it does not move on a game, that game probably contributes 0% — stop and read the terms.
